York has gone a perfect 3-0 against Prospect recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Dukes will challenge the Knights at 10:00 a.m. The last three games York has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
York fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Downers Grove North on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 10-8.

Danny Raible was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Josh Fleming and Austin Grzywa stepped up to the plate in a big way. Fleming got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Grzywa went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Luke Pieczynski was another key player, going 1-for-5 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, Prospect made easy work of DePaul College Prep on Friday and carried off a 10-3 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.
Lucas Nelson looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.
On the hitting side, Louie Caldrone was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three runs and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of John Bazula, who went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Prospect kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as DePaul College Prep only managed six hits.
Prospect pushed their record up to 21-10-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for York, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 20-11 record this season.
Saturday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. York hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .317. However, it's not like Prospect struggles in that department as they've averaged .313. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went York's way against Prospect in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as York made off with a 9-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Dukes since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
