NSU University hasn't had much luck against Somerset Academy recently, but that could start to change on Friday. NSU University will be playing at home against Somerset Academy at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (NSU University has nine straight wins, Somerset Academy has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
NSU University had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Dr. Joaquin Garcia on Wednesday. NSU University never let Dr. Joaquin Garcia get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The Sharks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matches by six runs or more this season.

Tevvy Rabinowitz looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Devin Mila was a standout: he scored two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Joey Georgiou, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.
NSU University always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dr. Joaquin Garcia only posted an OBP of .300.
Meanwhile, Somerset Academy suffered their biggest loss since February 18th on Wednesday. They came up short against Ferguson, falling 11-1.
Somerset Academy also got a good showing from Sebastian Rodriguez, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave Rodriguez a new career-high in strikeouts (three).
At the plate, Somerset Academy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Meyer Cabrera, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. Matthew Fari?as also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
NSU University pushed their record up to 17-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Somerset Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-12.
Both NSU University and Somerset Academy just can't seem to miss. NSU University has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9 hits per game. However, it's not like Somerset Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 3.8 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance. Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
