The De Anza Dons will head out on the road to challenge the San Lorenzo Grizzlies at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
While De Anza couldn't quite beat Pinole Valley on Friday, the two-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 37-point loss they were dealt on Tuesday. De Anza fell just short of Pinole Valley by a score of 59-57. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Meanwhile, San Lorenzo's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 61-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mt. Eden. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for San Lorenzo in their matchups with Mt. Eden: they've now lost seven in a row.
This is the second loss in a row for De Anza and nudges their season record down to 6-9. As for San Lorenzo, they bumped their record down to 6-10 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
De Anza came up short against San Lorenzo when the teams last played back in December of 2018, falling 60-52. Can De Anza avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
