There's no place like home for Shipley, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 62-54 victory over Pope John Paul II on Tuesday.
Shipley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Gyasi Miller led the charge by scoring 20 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Miller has scored at least 25% of Shipley's points. Another player making a difference was Will Littles, Jr, who scored 14 points along with 3 steals.
Shipley's win bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Pope John Paul II, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Shipley will head out on the road to face off against Perkiomen School at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Pope John Paul II will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Upper Darby at 1:30 p.m. on December 16th.
