Decatur is a perfect 10-0 against Castleberry since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Decatur Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Castleberry Lions at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Decatur is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Groesbeck just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 13-9 to the Goats.

Decatur got a massive performance out of Abby Steele, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Steele also hit a triple, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Annabel G?mez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

Even though they lost, Decatur lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Lions on Friday. Castleberry lost 16-1 to Ponder. Having soared to a lofty 20 runs in the game before, Castleberry couldn't push the score so high this time.

Castleberry saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cassandra Martinez, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Decatur suffered their first road loss, dropping their record down to 7-3. As for Castleberry, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12-1 record this season.

Everything went Decatur's way against Castleberry in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Decatur made off with a 12-5 victory. Does Decatur have another victory up their sleeve, or will Castleberry turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
