The John Paul II Golden Warrriors lost against the Hilton Head Christian Academy Eagles back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. John Paul II had to suffer through a rough 51-3 loss at the hands of Hilton Head Christian Academy. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for John Paul II in their matchups with Hilton Head Christian Academy: they've now lost six in a row.
Hilton Head Christian Academy can attribute much of their success to Dylan Clark, who threw for 213 yards and three touchdowns on only 17 passes. Gage Zatalokin was another key contributor, picking up 112 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Hilton Head Christian Academy's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Leading the way was Jackson Conrad and his two sacks.
John Paul II's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Hilton Head Christian Academy, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. John Paul II will take on Wilson Hall at 7:30 p.m. on October 27th. Wilson Hall presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than John Paul II in South Carolina (Wilson Hall is ranked 83rd, while John Paul II is ranked 202nd). As for Hilton Head Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Hilton Head Prep at 7:30 p.m. on October 27th. Hilton Head Prep comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
