SA Roosevelt's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maddison Castillo, who scored nine points along with five assists. Tyriana Robinson was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
SA Roosevelt's defeat was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 5-20. As for Marshall, their victory bumped their record up to 17-13.
SA Roosevelt will take on Lee at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lee presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than SA Roosevelt in Texas (Lee is ranked 198th, while SA Roosevelt is ranked 960th). As for Marshall, they will head out on the road to square off against Brandeis at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Brandeis focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Saturday.
