The Blair Academy Bucs are ranked highly in their home state, and on Sunday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of the Mercersburg Academy Blue Storm. Blair Academy blew past Mercersburg Academy 80-30 at home. Winning may never get old, but Blair Academy sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Despite the loss, Mercersburg Academy still got an impressive performance from Madison Goodhart, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Blair Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Mercersburg Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Blair Academy will take on Perkiomen School at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Perkiomen School will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 144th in Pennsylvania, while Blair Academy is ranked sixth in New Jersey). As for Mercersburg Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Shalom Christian Academy at 6:15 p.m.
