The Community Christian Academy Ambassadors lost against the Curtis Baptist Crusaders back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Community Christian Academy took a serious blow against Curtis Baptist, falling 62-8. Community Christian Academy has not had much luck with Curtis Baptist recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Curtis Baptist found their leader in underclassman Maci Butler, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Butler hasn't dropped below two steals for ten straight games. Another player making a difference was Abby Coughlin, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Community Christian Academy's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-3. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 16.0 points per game. As for Curtis Baptist, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Community Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mead Hall Episcopal School at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Curtis Baptist, they will be playing at home against Horse Creek Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
