The biggest upset of the week belonged to Little Elm, who took down 391st ranked Liberty, 49-14.
Prosper extended the longest winning streak in 4A Region II District 9 this week by beating Centennial, 38-36. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Davis Webb put up the best numbers through the air as Prosper bested the Titans. He finished with a total of 20 completions for 196 yards and four touchdowns. Webb's favorite target this week was Zack English, who caught five passes for 66 yards.
Alonte Ryan was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 16 carries, he ran for 209 yards as the Redhawks bested Heritage. Connor Robison also contributed to the rushing game with 32 yards on the ground.
Smiley was the best wideout in the league this week as the Wolverines defeated the Coyotes. Smiley tallied three receptions for 164 yards. Dan Harrington helped Wakeland's passing attack out by catching two balls for 48 yards.
Wakeland's Jackson Lamb and Smiley have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading 4A Region II District 9 in both passing and receiving yards. Lamb has thrown for 1550 yards this season, while Smiley has 29 catches for 542 yards. Keaun Kinner from the Lobos leads the league in rushing with 964 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Prosper takes on second place Wakeland. Kent Scott's team beat Centennial last week, while Marty Secord's team defeated Heritage.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when the Wolverines take on the Eagles. Wakeland's offense has recorded 242 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while Prosper has permitted only 81 on the year.
Little Elm's Keaun Kinner needs only 36 yards against Frisco next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season.
There should be lots of points scored when the Eagles and the Wolverines face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Prosper comes in having scored 210 this season, while Wakeland has scored 242. The Eagles scored 38 points last week as they bested Mark Howard's team.
Donald Stowers' team moved up to 420 from 487 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Lobos climbed the ranks as a result of a 49-14 win over Liberty.
