It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Windsor Academy Knights can now relate to. They suffered a rough 35-14 defeat at the hands of Westminster Schools of Augusta on Saturday. Windsor Academy's defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
Windsor Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jay Singleton, who rushed for 150 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.5 yards per carry, and Dalton Sims who picked up 56 receiving yards and a touchdown. Singleton is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last four games he's played.
Westminster Schools of Augusta's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Levi Murphey led the charge by throwing for 167 yards and three touchdowns. Murphey hasn't dropped below three passing touchdowns for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Rader Ketterman, who picked up 75 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Westminster Schools of Augusta's defense and their three sacks. Levi Ketterman was especially locked on to Windsor Academy's QB and sacked him twice.
Windsor Academy's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Westminster Schools of Augusta, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.
Windsor Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Westminster Schools of Augusta also has no future games currently scheduled.
