The Bellmont Braves will face off against the Heritage Patriots at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Bellmont is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.

The team relied heavily on Finnley Godsey, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three stolen bases, and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Emily Bleke was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Heritage can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They came out on top against Huntington North by a score of 13-9.
Heritage let Teaghan O'Shaughnessey and Abriyah James run wild. O'Shaughnessey went 2-for-3 with two runs, while James went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. James has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Libby Cain, who went 1-for-4 with two runs.
Heritage hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive matches.
Heritage's record is now 14-10. As for Bellmont, they now have a winning record of 11-10.
Wednesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Bellmont hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .325. However, it's not like Heritage struggles in that department as they've averaged .327. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Bellmont came out on top in a nail-biter against Heritage in their previous matchup back in April, sneaking past 5-4. Will the Braves repeat their success, or do the Patriots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
