After both having extra time off, the Berlin Indians and the Adams-Friendship Green Devils will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Having struggled with eight losses in a row, Berlin turned things around against Westfield Area on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Pioneers. The Indians not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 4th (when they won 3-0).
The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-19, 25-13.

Berlin relied on the efforts of Lauren Werch, who had four digs and four aces, and Letty Strebelinski, who had three aces and two assists. That's the most digs Werch has posted over her last three matches. Savanna Huser also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.
They weren't the only good servers: Berlin was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Adams-Friendship hadn't done well against Wautoma recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Green Devils blew past the Hornets 3-0.
While Adams-Friendship won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-11, 25-16.
Berlin picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 6-13. As for Adams-Friendship, their victory bumped their record up to 13-8.
Everything went Berlin's way against Adams-Friendship when the teams last played back in October of 2020, as Berlin made off with a 3-0 win. Do the Indians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Green Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
