The Shadow Mountain Matadors will challenge the Mingus Marauders at 3:45  p.m.  on Friday. Shadow Mountain has given up an average of 10.3 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
Shadow Mountain lost  13-3 to Agua Fria on Thursday.
 Shadow Mountain saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Alex Forkum, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile, Mingus made easy work of Goldwater  on Tuesday and carried off  a  13-1 win. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Marauders.
 Kaden Pusl made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run over five innings pitched. Pusl was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run and  stealing  Two bases. while  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances. The dominant performance gave  him a new career-high in  stolen bases.
 In other batting news,  Xzayvier Buckner and  Silas Scott did most of the damage at the plate:  Buckner  scored three  runs and  stole  Four bases. while going 3-for-4, while  Scott  went 3-for-4 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  stolen base. Those  four  stolen bases gave  Buckner a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Logan Newell, who  scored two  runs while going 1-for-3.
 Mingus  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Goldwater only managed six  hits.
 Mingus' victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Shadow Mountain, their defeat was  their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 2-3-1.
