The Union Knights/Damsels lost against the Karns City Gremlins back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Union fell 51-39 to Karns City. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Union in their matchups with Karns City: they've now lost seven in a row.
Despite the loss, Union still got an impressive performance from Hayden Smith, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Dawson Camper, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 19 rebounds.
Union has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season. As for Karns City, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-6.
Union does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Karns City, they will head out on the road to face off against Allegheny-Clarion Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Allegheny-Clarion Valley is coming into the game with four straight defeats at home, meaning Karns City will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win.
