Marion extended their winning streak to 12 on Monday, bumping them up to 16-2. They put the hurt on the North Rose-Wolcott Cougars with a sharp 14-4 win. Considering the Black Knights have won 13 contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

As for North Rose-Wolcott, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat they have suffered since April 24th.

For North Rose-Wolcott's part, they saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bella Youells, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one run. Kaydence Dierksen was another, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Coming up, Marion will welcome Red Creek at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rams have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 19 runs per game on average), something the Black Knights will no doubt try to take advantage of. North Rose-Wolcott has already played their next matchup (against Gananda Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
