The St. David's Warriors entered their tilt with the Trinity Academy Tigers with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. St. David's took down the Tigers 45-26 on Friday. The score was all tied up 20-20 at the break, but St. David's was the (much) better team in the second half.
It was another big night for Rebecca Leshnock, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Maya Foster, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
St. David's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.4 points per game. As for Trinity Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 13-4.
St. David's does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Trinity Academy will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Knights at 5:00 p.m. Cary Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 354th, while the Tigers are ranked 152nd).
