The Northside Christian Mustangs will head out on the road to face off against the Seffner Christian Crusaders at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Northside Christian will be strutting in after a win while Seffner Christian will be coming in after a defeat.
Northside Christian will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Admiral Farragut, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Northside Christian blew past Admiral Farragut 25-2 on Thursday. The Mustangs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Aryah Walters made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run but no hits. Walters was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, Brielle Nestor was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with four runs, five RBI, and two doubles. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in runs. Macy SMith was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, Seffner Christian came up short against Shorecrest Prep on Thursday, falling 15-4.
Like Northside Christian, Seffner Christian also got a great game from a two-way player: Allison Baston. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up seven earned (and eight unearned) runs off six hits. Baston has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one home run and one stolen base. That home run was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Tenley Newman made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Six bases. while going 3-for-3. Newman is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Eliana Serrano also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Seffner Christian now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Northside Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
Northside Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Seffner Christian when the teams last played on Friday, sneaking past 10-9. The rematch might be a little tougher for Northside Christian since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
