Spencer County will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Bullitt Central in at 7:30 PM. The MaxPreps rankings say the odds are against Spencer County, but that can only make success all the sweeter.
Spencer County had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They were given a punishing 0-38 loss at the hands of Bardstown.
Bullitt Central had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They blew past Fairdale 42-13.
Bullitt Central's lifted them to 1-0 while Spencer County's defeat dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Bullitt Central can add another positive mark to their record or if Spencer County can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Bullitt Central's step.
