Westminster Christian Academy ended up on the wrong side of a tough 67-41 walloping at the hands of the War Eagles. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Westminster Christian Academy in their matchups with the War Eagles: they've now lost five in a row.
Brentwood's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cadence English led the charge by dropping a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. English has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 21 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Faith Archer, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds.
Westminster Christian Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Brentwood, they pushed their record up to 18-5 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westminster Christian Academy will take on the Gators at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Brentwood, they and the Cougars will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Piedmont Academy is coming into the match hot, having won their last eight games.
