After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cross Keys, the Howard Hawks were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They escaped with a win against Tapestry Charter by the margin of a single free throw, 41-40. This was payback for Howard, who suffered a 50-31 defeat the last time these two teams met.
It was another big night for Sam Schulman, who scored 23 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Davis, who scored 11 points.
The victory got Howard back to even at 4-4. As for Tapestry Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-2.
Howard will square off against Cumberland Academy of Georgia at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cumberland Academy of Georgia is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Tapestry Charter will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mill Springs Academy at 5:45 p.m. on January 23rd.
