St. John Paul II's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 10-3 margin over the Section Lions. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Jack Smotrys was a standout: he got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Kelly, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

St. John Paul II kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

St. John Paul II's win bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Section, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-9.
