Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Hampton County Hurricanes, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. Their tough 42-21 loss to the Landsharks on Friday might stick with them for a while. Hampton County's defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.
Despite the loss, Hampton County still got an impressive performance from Zion Dobson, who rushed for 200 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. Dobson really tore up the turf during one magnificent 76-yard run.
Hampton County's loss dropped their record down to 12-2. As for Oceanside Collegiate Academy, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 11-2.
Hampton County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Oceanside Collegiate Academy is on the road again on Thursday and play against Gray Collegiate Academy at 7:00 p.m. on November 30th. The pair have allowed few points on average, (Gray Collegiate Academy: 18.1, Oceanside Collegiate Academy: 9.8) so any points scored will be well earned.
