The Maywood CES Wolfpack were the 47-27 winner over the Torres Toros when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. Maywood CES fell 38-31 to the Toros on Monday. Maywood CES has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Torres can attribute much of their success to Oscar Gonzalez, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Christian Guituierez, who scored eight points.
Maywood CES has not been sharp recently as the team's lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-18 record this season. As for Torres, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-14.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Maywood CES will take on the Nighthawks at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Torres, they will be playing at home against the Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Elizabeth is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
