The Ridgeland Titans will face off against the Ramsay Rams at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Ridgeland is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Mississippi's top teams: Germantown, who was ranked fourth at the time (Ridgeland was ranked 11th). The Titans fell 68-60 to the Mavericks on Tuesday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (55), the Titans still had to take the loss.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Ashton Manuel, who went 6-for-10 on his way to 19 points. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Khameron Snow was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 12 points and nine assists.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ramsay). They strolled past Carver Birmingham with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 65-48. The win continues a trend for Ramsay in their matchups with Carver Birmingham: they've now won six in a row.
Ridgeland better keep an eye on Chase Holt. He was instrumental in Ramsay's win, dropping a double-double with 31 points and ten rebounds. Holt is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Marcellous Hall, who posted 15 points and seven boards.
Ramsay was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Ridgeland's loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-3. As for Ramsay, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 4-6.
Saturday's game is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting: Ridgeland just can't miss this season, having drained 53.2% of their shots per game. However, it's not like Ramsay struggles in that department as they've made 49.3% of their field goals this season. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out. Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other basketball content.
