Lanier came tearing into Tuesday's contest with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Berkmar Patriots. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Lanier's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 71st, while Berkmar are ranked 286th).

Andrea La Luz and Rachel Andrews scored both of Lanier's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Lanier's win bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Berkmar, they dropped their record down to 2-11 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Lanier will head out to challenge South Gwinnett at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. South Gwinnett will roll in looking for their 15th straight victory, something Lanier surely won't give up without a fight. Berkmar does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
