After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Gaston Day, Piedmont Community Charter was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Community Christian Academy Warriors 63-22. The victory continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won five in a row.

Piedmont Community Charter was led to victory by Bree Phillips and Aleena Gaff. Phillips almost dropped a double-double with 18 points and nine steals, while Gaff dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten boards. Those ten rebounds gave Gaff a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Player #4, who posted 12 points.

Piedmont Community Charter smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 15 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

The win got Piedmont Community Charter back to even at 1-1.

Piedmont Community Charter wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 43-40 loss against Highland Tech on the 14th. As for Community Christian Academy, they will welcome Lake Lure Classical Academy at 6:30 p.m. on the 18th. This will be the Warriors' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
