Camelback's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aken Logan, who scored 21 points along with 9 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ilirian Demiri, who scored 14 points along with 4 steals.
Meanwhile, Willow Canyon had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 76-59 win over Copper Canyon. Given Willow Canyon's advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while Copper Canyon is ranked 150th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Camelback's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Willow Canyon, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
Camelback was taken down by Willow Canyon 94-35 when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Thankfully for Camelback, Aidan Carino (who shot 6-for-12 from long range and dropped a double-double on 28 points and 10 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time.
