The Purdue Polytechnic Techies's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Indianapolis Shortridge Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. on February 8th. One thing working in Purdue Polytechnic's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three games.
Purdue Polytechnic pushed their score all the way to 59 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 69-59 to Indianapolis Arsenal Technical.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Antwan Dorsett, who scored 12 points. Eddie Williams was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Indianapolis Shortridge can finally bid farewell to their 15-game losing streak thanks to their game last Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Traders Point Christian 74-41 at home. Indianapolis Shortridge's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Indianapolis Shortridge can attribute much of their success to Kurt Moore, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds, and Jalen Yates, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Gavin Lowery, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Purdue Polytechnic's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 11-3. As for Indianapolis Shortridge, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-17.
Purdue Polytechnic didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Indianapolis Shortridge in their previous matchup back in February of 2021, but they still walked away with a 84-79 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Purdue Polytechnic since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
