The Central Square Redhawks had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.6 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 22-6 victory over East Syracuse-Minoa. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Central Square also won the last time the pair played two weeks ago.
Central Square was led to victory by Jackson Mott and Angelo Turo. Mott rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries, while Turo rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries. Turo is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last seven games he's played.
Central Square's win was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 6-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.7 points per game. As for East Syracuse-Minoa, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
Central Square does not have any more games scheduled as of now. East Syracuse-Minoa is also done with their season.
