They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Panthers 68-29 at home. Horace Mann UCLA Community has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.
Horace Mann UCLA Community's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Derrick Boston, who scored 17 points. Boston is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 17 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Nasir May, who scored 16 points.
Horace Mann UCLA Community pushed their record up to 11-7 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.7 points per game. As for CHAMPS, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.
Horace Mann UCLA Community will square off against Belmont at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. CHAMPS does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
