It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Riverside Academy Rebels had no problem doing just that on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 14-12 win over Catholic of Pointe Coupee. The win was familiar territory for Riverside Academy who now have nine in a row.
Although Catholic of Pointe Coupee took the loss, they still got scores from Cooper Laviolette and Hayden Elliott.
Riverside Academy's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Catholic of Pointe Coupee, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.
Riverside Academy is on the road again on Friday and play against St. Martin's Episcopal. One thing working in St. Martin's Episcopal's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last four contests. Catholic of Pointe Coupee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
