Crown Point has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Keene Central Beavers at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither Crown Point nor Keene Central posted many points in their last games, so it might be the defenses that decide this one.
Last Friday, Crown Point came up short against Lake Placid and fell 31-20.
Meanwhile, Keene Central lost to Bolton Central on the road by a decisive 36-18 margin on Friday. Keene Central has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Crown Point has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Keene Central, their loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-6.
Things could have been worse for Crown Point, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 39-25 loss to Keene Central in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can Crown Point avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
