The Medora Hornets lost against the Christian Academy Warriors back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Medora was beaten by Christian Academy 81-49. Medora was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-20.
Medora lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Hudson Johnson, who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Damian Salas, who scored eight points.
Medora struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Joshua Renfro continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Christian Academy, going 8 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 45 points and 2 assists. That makes it four consecutive games in which Renfro has scored at least 25% of Christian Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Josh Chancey, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
Medora has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Christian Academy, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
Medora will head out on the road to face off against Cannelton at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Christian Academy will take on Southwestern in a holiday battle at 3:00 p.m. on Friday at. Southwestern is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
