The Quantico Warriors will square off against the Seton Conquistadors at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Quantico has given up an average of 15.8 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Quantico is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Foxcroft on Thursday as they made off with a 32-17 victory. The Warriors haven't had any issues with Foxcroft recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Quantico got a massive performance out of Riley Nicholson, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs, five RBI, and one stolen base. The dominant performance also gave Nicholson a new career-high in hits (three). Another player making a difference was Mya Farnsworth, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base.
Quantico always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .809. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Seton came up short against Fredericksburg Christian last Monday, falling 17-6. The Conquistadors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Christina Witter made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played.
The victory got Quantico back to even at 2-2-1. As for Seton, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3-1.
Seton's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Quantico has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .635. It's a different story for Seton, though, as they've only averaged .307. Will they be able to contain Quantico's hitters?
