4A District 6 recap October 22, 2013
LaBelle's Jerome Baxter rumbled for the longest rushing play in 4A District 6 this season in his game against Avon Park last week. Baxter's team bested the Red Devils as he sprinted for 82 yards on the play and finished with 112 in all.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Clewiston beat Lake Placid 46-3. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
LaBelle's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Michael Lopez threw for 21 yards and Sterlin Casseus had 13 yards receiving. On the ground Danny Robinson chipped in 133 yards.
Chris Siner's team's dynamic duo of Lopez and Casseus proved to be unstoppable against Avon Park, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Robinson was a passing and rushing force as the Cowboys defeated Wade Jackson's team.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Clewiston's Davis Witt and Lenorris Gaines have proven to be a lethal combination. Witt has thrown for 626 yards this season, while Gaines has 14 catches for 369 yards. LaBelle's Robinson leads the league in rushing yards with 1,224.
The Dragons lost to Peter Walker's team 46-3 last week, the largest margin of any game.
