The North Posey Vikings's found some homefield redemption this week after a tough overtime loss to the Heritage Hills Patriots on Saturday. North Posey put the hurt on Pike Central with a sharp 44-21 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory North Posey has posted since November 17, 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North Posey to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alyssa Heath, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Heath also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Elle jo Johnson, who scored nine points along with six steals.
North Posey's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-11. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 19.33 points. As for Pike Central, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-18.
Coincidentally, North Posey and Pike Central will both be playing Princeton the next time they take the court. North Posey will head out to face Princeton at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Pike Central will host them at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday.
