Lamoille is 0-8 against Oxbow since May of 2017 but things could change on Saturday. The Lancers will look to defend their home field against the Olympians at 11:00 a.m. Lamoille has given up an average of 15.2 runs per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Lamoille fell victim to Lyndon Institute and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Vikings, falling 13-0.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Oxbow). They blew past Peoples Academy 23-1 on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Olympians, who have now won four matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.
Noemi Rosa and Brooke Osgood made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Rosa pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Osgood tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. At the plate, Rosa went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, three doubles, and one run, while Osgood went 3-for-5 with four runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Rosa has posted since back in May of 2025.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Mazie Bourgeois, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Braylee Phelps, who went 2-for-5 with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Oxbow always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .595. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
The win made it two in a row for Oxbow and bumps their season record up to 4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 20.0 runs over those games. As for Lamoille, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
Lamoille suffered a grim 26-0 defeat to Oxbow when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Can the Lancers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
