The Redmond Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. The contest between Redmond and Issaquah wasn't particularly close, with Redmond falling 58-40. If Redmond hoped to take revenge for the 68-42 defeat against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sofia Locati, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and two steals. Locati hasn't dropped below two blocks for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabel Schneider, who scored seven points along with five rebounds.
Redmond has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Issaquah, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Redmond and Interlake will face off at 7:15 p.m. on January 22nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Interlake focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Saturday. As for Issaquah, they will head out on the road to challenge Eastlake at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Eastlake presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Issaquah in Washington (Eastlake is ranked 34th, while Issaquah is ranked 88th).
