The Phillips Wildcats fell victim to a  rough 14-8 loss at the hands of the Morgan Park Mustangs  on Thursday. Phillips was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Morgan Park apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in April of 2019.
  Anaja Porterfield led a balanced group of hitters,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in all two of her plate appearances. She hasn't dropped below two  stolen bases for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of  Alanah Holiday, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all two of her plate appearances.
 Phillips has  been struggling recently as they've  lost three of their last four games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record  this season. As for Morgan Park, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with that  win, which was their third straight  on the road.
 Phillips will  square off against Hubbard at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Morgan Park, they will look to defend their home field  on Saturday against Catalyst-Maria at 12:00  p.m.
