Emily Pigoni was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 4.1 innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off only two hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
Pigoni wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kaley Lanier, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
