After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Keenan, the West Florence Knights were happy to have found some success  on Friday. They skirted past Cheraw  45-42. That's another feather in the cap for West Florence, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
 West Florence got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  Kendrina Johnson out in front who  dropped  a double-double on ten points and 14  rebounds. Those ten points set a new season-high mark for her.  Gabrielle Gunter was another key contributor,  scoring eight points along with nine  rebounds.
 West Florence's win  ended a seven-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 2-8. As for Cheraw, they bumped their record down to 6-6 with that  defeat, which was their fifth straight  at home.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Florence will take on Myrtle Beach at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Cheraw, they will play host again and welcome North Central, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. North Central is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
