Baseball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Clawson

Clawson came tearing into Friday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Clintondale Dragons 13-3. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 games by eight runs or more this season.

Shane Dunlap was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted over his last three contests. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Joey Campana was excellent, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

Clawson's record is now 19-7. As for Clintondale, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Looking ahead, Clawson will venture away from home to take on Cousino at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Clintondale, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Madison at 4:00 p.m. on the 28th.
