George Washington has struggled against the Wolverines recently, as their match on Saturday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
George Washington's loss came despite strong showings from Jeremiah Trimm and Tre Borne. Trimm almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds, while Borne scored 14 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Danny Yonas, who scored 11 points.
Gavin Carter was his usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with eight rebounds and five steals for Chaparral. Carter has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last eight times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Williams, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.
George Washington's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Chaparral, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

As for Chaparral, they will head out on the road to challenge the Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
