The William Floyd Colonials are on the road again on Friday and play against the Massapequa Chiefs at 12:00 p.m. on November 24th. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (William Floyd: 12.2, Massapequa: 8.8) so any points scored will be well earned.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only William Floyd walked away with it. They strolled past the with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 26-9.
William Floyd's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaden Montalvo led the charge by rushing for 82 yards and two touchdowns. Ja'Quan Thomas and his 82 yards on the ground were also a key factor in William Floyd's victory.
William Floyd's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB seven times. The heavy lifting was done by Justice Darling and Aaron Fisher who racked up four sacks between them.
Meanwhile, Massapequa stacked a ninth blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. Everything went their way against Syosset as Massapequa made off with a 33-7 victory. Massapequa's victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Their wins bumped William Floyd to 10-1 and Sachem North to 8-3.
