The Port St. Lucie Jaguars will square off against the Bayside Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Wednesday, Port St. Lucie had to suffer through a rough 75-47 loss at the hands of the Pirates. Port St. Lucie has struggled against the Pirates recently, as their game on Wednesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Makhari Chambliss, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jerek Gabriel, who scored eight points along with 14 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Bayside's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight defeat. They took a 57-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Satellite. While losing is never fun, Bayside can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 539th, while the Scorpions are ranked 216th).
Port St. Lucie has not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 18-7 record this season. As for Bayside, they dropped their record down to 5-15 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
