The Boiling Springs Bubblers had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They walked away with a 53-45 win over Bishop McDevitt. This was payback for Boiling Springs, who suffered a 56-41 loss the last time these two teams met.
Boiling Springs got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brayden Richie out in front who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Ascione, who scored 13 points.
Boiling Springs' win bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Bishop McDevitt, they dropped their record down to 9-8 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Boiling Springs will take on East Pennsboro at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bishop McDevitt, they will head out on the road to square off against Camp Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Camp Hill will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 569th, while Bishop McDevitt is ranked 244th).
