Winning is just a little bit easier when you outrebound your opponent 18 to 11 on the offensive boards, a fact the Champion Golden Flashes proved on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 52-49 victory over LaBrae. The win made it back-to-back wins for Champion.
It was another big night for Isabella Meyer, who scored 24 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Champion's points. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for her. Marissa Levensky was another key contributor, scoring six points along with 13 rebounds.
