Central Regional have had to suffer through a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They enjoyed a cozy 30-14 victory over Southern Regional. The success represented a nice turnaround for Central Regional, who in their last game suffered a tough 14-42 loss.
Central Regional got off to a slow start in their match last week, but they had no such trouble against Southern Regional as they cruised to a 24-point first half. Southern Regional countered with 14 points, leaving the score at 24-14 going into the half. The other side of the ball was dominant for Central Regional in the second half, holding Southern Regional to a measly 0 points. Finally capturing their first win of the season, Central Regional advanced to 1-6. The defeat dropped Southern Regional's record to 2-4.
Central Regional will have some time to rest before their next game, which is against St. John-Vianney in two weeks. Southern Regional will look to defend their home turf next week against Howell at 7:00 PM. Both of those teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
