The St. Paul Indians will head out on the road to take on the Oswego Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. St. Paul is no doubt hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Friday, St. Paul came up short against the Jayhawks and fell 40-27.
Meanwhile, Oswego had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took down Yates Center 43-29 on Tuesday.
Oswego's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Rayden Myers, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Myers has scored all season. Josh Hutchinson was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with six rebounds and five steals.
St. Paul's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Oswego, their victory bumped their record up to 5-9.
St. Paul came up short against the Indians when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 55-50. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Oswego's Owen Jackson, who scored 19 points along with four steals. Now that St. Paul knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
